If anyone is curious about their max-age, then here is the proof. Emirates' target age...
I have question about joining document as I live outside my country all of my original documents are in other country. Is it OK just to give them the copy not to bring the original when I go to dubai. My friend she just went their but they didn't ask her for the original one yet. Or when they will ask for the original documents after I arrived dubai so I may ask my mom to send it to me... Please help it urgent !!
ReplyDeletehi dear
DeleteWhat i know is that they will never ask for original documents from you...as they are yours...they only ask for copies...either if its colored copies or black and white....
If they ask, which i doubt they will you can only say you will attach them later and your mother can send it for you.
But i doubt they ever will ask for the original once....
Wishing you a lovely friday

Thank you so much :D
ReplyDeleteHi,. Thank you for all the helpful information you posted,, I wanted to ask, if the country I live in holds no assessment days and I apply online, does this mean I will get an invitation to a neighboring country where the airline holds assessment/invitation days in instead?
ReplyDeletehi dear
Deleteu didnt mention which airline you are thinking about, but i assume ur thinking of emirates :-)
but yes if ek does not hold any assessments in ur country u might get an invite for a country near u. u also might get a invite for a open day near u as well. often people attend open days in other countries too if ek does not come to their country.
good luck dear and have a lovely weekend

Hey there...I attended my final interview today. Its was to be held at 1:30 and I got there at 1:25...the recruiter told me that if I'd been there earlier we would have still done the interview :-( so does this mean I was late?, is it a bad sign?
ReplyDeleteMy online status also read 'interview completed' immediately after I left..is that bad? And NY to interview lasted less than 15 minutes :-(
Not NY but interview lasted less than 15 minutes :-(
DeleteHi dear
Deletecongrats on scoring the finals, i assume with emirates :-)
wishing u the best dear
it is very strange that the recruiter told u this, u had the interview at 1:30 and they would expect u to go in there at 1:30...the minutes before 1:30 doesnt matter...cause lets say u could be in the bathroom for 15min or walking around the hotel during that time....ex when i was my interview with emirates, i showed up there 30min before...but i was sitting in the hotel lobby down stairs, while the interview was upstairs...i didnt show up to the room where i was going to have the interview until 10min before....the lady who was going to interview me opened the door and called my name exactly the hour i was suppose to have the interview....
i assume the recruiter u had wasnt on her best mood lol...cause to me u were not late....u were there 5min before the hour....
u were not late at all...the recruiter just had a bad day it think
interview completed is the status everyone gets when they finish the interview.....so there is nothing wrong with that status...
how many minutes the interview last dosnt matter really...ex my interview lasted 25min but i got rejected later on...
so it doesnt matter really...
im sure u did well dear
hopefully soon u get ur golden call :-)
good luck
wish u the best

Hello once again, the interviewer wasnt nasty infact she was friendly :-) now am curious to know..is it automatic that your file will be sent to Dubai after final interview? And if so how will you know your file has reached Dubai?
DeleteMy online status was interview completed immediately after my interview (updated 25th Apr)..it was that way till last Wednesday and Thursday where it was reading the same interview completed but (updated 4th may) and Thursday again (updated 5th may)...
Hi dear
DeleteYes after ur final interview they will send ur file to dubai, but as candidate u guys will never know the process of how they will handle these things and will never know if it reached dubai or not. The only thing u candidates can follow is ur application status.
as long as u dont get application unsuccessful UR GOOD TO GO :-)
the emirates application process and hiring process is veryyyy long.
GOOD LUCK dear, fingers crossed,,,
nothing to do at this point than wait...and myself personally i hate to wait lol...but what to do than just keep track of the application status every single day :-)
but do please update me if u hear anything :-)
enjoy ur sunday

Hi there, hope all is well
ReplyDeleteI did my Ab initio with Qatar Airways and they discovered a tattoo on my back during the QROC medical *sigh* anyhow, I'd like to apply with Etihad, as aviation really is my passion and obtaining my PPL is turning out to be way expensive. I'd just like to find out if this tattoo will not be discovered during the Etihad medical (if not declared)
Kind regards
Hi
DeleteThank you, hope you are well
So sorry you had to go through that with Qatar :-(
In regards to your question, actually Etihad/Emirates is ok with tattoos, as long as its not visible while wearing the uniform.
I have a couple of tattoos, a nurse during my medicals saw my tattoos, she didnt say anything.
I advice you to declare this tattoo you have as its on your back, and not visible while wearing the uniform. We had tons of crew having tattoos in Etihad. But with Qatar yes, as you mentioned they dont accept any tattoos regardless visible or not.
Good Luck
Have a great day
xoxo
Hi there..
ReplyDeleteOmg no, dont sound so sad about it, lol I got over it, everything happens for a reason right :) (I learnt to take a risk, like you say).
Ok, so declaring this tattoo won't ruin my chances at the AD?
Kind regards
... oh, because when wearing a sports bra the tattoo is not visible, and certain camisoles cover it too. So I'm kinda confinement it won't show in the white shirts for the medical (if that's the attire still being worn), I'm just nervous if asked to remove either the shirt, bra or camisole. Like what is the exact procedure at the medical?
DeleteKind regards
Hi :-)
DeleteYou are so right! If we dont take risks in life than we wouldnt go anywhere in life :-)
Im happy you moved on and now on a different chapter in your life.
In regards to your back tattoo, now that you mentioned that if you wore a sports bra, this tattoo wouldnt even be visible. Than if i were you i would not declare this, as no doctor will ask you to remove your bra.
During our medical exams in Abu Dhabi they told us to wear these large white t-shirts:::

and no doctor told us to remove this t-shirt, we wore exactly what you see in this pic above.
Than in Emirates during one medical exam they tell them to wear these:
https://s17.postimg.org/nn1bx5ahr/2_20.jpg
but they dont ask anyone to remove them.
Thats the difference with Qatar, in Qatar i know you guys stand there in your underwear while a doctor specifically check for tattoos/scars/marks. Etihad/Emirates didnt have this kind of things, thankfully!
Anyhow as i mentioned, if this back tattoo would be hidden by a sports bra, than i dont find any reason for you to declare it. Even if anyone would see if, which i ever doubt, its not even visible while wearing the uniform. Etihad/Emirates arnt that strict with scars/marks/tattoos, as long as its not visible.
We had two different sets of medical exams, one in a local hospital, where we only wore usually attire, and they only took our blood from our arm and checked weight and height, thats it. Than few exams in their Etihad clinic, where we had those attire on which i showed u above, at no time did they ask us to remove our shirt. The doctor who for example checked my breathing with their stethoscope, she checked it on top of my shirt, she didnt put the stethoscope under the t-shirt. Than they did one breast exam too, which she never asked me to remove my shirt and checked it with her hand under my shirt.
But 100% Etihad/Emirates isnt that strict as Qatar is :-)
I wish you the best dear with Etihad/Emirates! Hope you succeed!!
Enjoy your day

Thank you so so much for all your help, your platform has truly made you the Robbin Hood of Aviation
DeleteKind regards and many thanks
Hi dear
Delete:-) Thank you so much for your kindness dear :-)
Im just trying to do what not many do, just to help out or give some tips. 1 little advice/tips give us so much peace of mind, clarity or hope. That peace of mind or that small piece of hope is worth EVERYTHING. I know how it is to be in the dark, being worried about something, being curious about something and no one is willing to answer our questions or give advice or help out. If they do reply back, their answers are short and not that detailed either. Frustrating..thats why im doing this. :-)
Have a wonderful Friday/weekend dear :-)
Take care
Hugsssss
Good evening...
ReplyDeleteI must say, your blog is really enlightening.
I too worked for qatar Airways And left during my ab Intio becoz of tattoos. I just wanted to know; will they take me back now that my tattoos are almost gone, and does Etihad and emirates choose against former Qatar Airways crew?
Hi dear
DeleteThank you for your kindness!
Sorry for my late reply.
In regards to the questions u have. If i were you i wouldnt bother with Qatar anymore, because as you know they dont accept tattoos at all. And what if you removed your tattoos and then Qatar still wouldnt hire you. I dont think its worth going through the entire tattoo removal process and still not being guaranteed the Qatar job. Ex Qatar crew are totally welcome to join Etihad. I have worked with tons of ex Qatar crew, there is no issues between Qatar and Etihad. But from what i heard it seems there is a 1 year waiting period time for ex Qatar crew to join Emirates. As for tattoos with Etihad and Emirates, i just want to mention that 100% Etihad and Emirates accept tattoos, as i have tattoos and i joined Etihad. I have friends who also have tattoos and they work for Emirates. Etihad and Emirates are totally ok with tattoos, as long as its not visible while wearing the uniform. Compared to Qatar that dont accept at all, visible or not.
Good luck with Etihad and Emirates, although right now they arnt recruiting, but once they start, fingers crossed for you!! :-)
Take care
