Want your EK/QR/EY/RX Cabin Crew CV to sound less like AI?

100% use AI to help you with your resume, but there are ways to create it so it sounds like you and not AI.

Here are some things to look out for:

Too many big or fancy words

AI:

Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication capabilities while consistently delivering outstanding customer experiences in a fast paced environment

More natural:

Helped customers with their questions and made sure they felt welcome and well taken care of, even during busy periods.

You don’t need complicated words to sound professional.

Skills that are too general

AI:

Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, problem solving and adaptability skills.

Almost everyone says this 😃

Better:

Worked closely with colleagues during busy departures and helped solve customer issues quickly.

Show how you used the skill instead of just listing it.

Saying the same thing several times

For example, you might write:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Passionate about helping customers
  • Always puts customers first

These are all saying almost the same thing.

Instead, choose one strong example that shows your customer service experience.

Sentences that sound too perfect

AI:

Passionate about creating memorable experiences for every guest while consistently exceeding expectations through exceptional service.

More natural:

I enjoy helping customers and making sure they have a good experience, especially when they need extra support.

Your CV should sound like you, not like a company ad😃

Using the em dash (—) too often

This is something I see often everywhere. Reflect on whether you notice these ''em dashes'' too.

For example:

She would introduce them to the arts, guide them through the language of Shakespeare, and show them the wonders of nature outside city life — all things that they wouldn't have experienced otherwise.

Instead write:

She would introduce them to the arts, guide them through the language of Shakespeare, and show them the wonders of nature outside city life, all things that they wouldn't have experienced otherwise.

If you use these ''em dashes — ''everywhere, together with very polished language, your CV can start to feel less natural. Recruiters will notice asap its AI written. One of the biggest signs that something you wrote came from AI, is these ''em dashes''.

Another cabin crew example

AI:

Dedicated aviation professional with a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service and professionalism.

Better to write:

Experienced customer service professional with experience working with passengers and customers in busy environments. Comfortable handling different situations and working as part of a team.

The second version is simpler, but it feels more real. Your CV doesn’t have to sound perfect. AI can 10000% help you with your CV, but don’t let it remove your personality. Use AI to help you organise and improve your experience, not to turn your CV into something that sounds like everyone else’s. The goal is to stand out and not let your CV look like 100000s others.
