Submission status

Now all you can do is wait and see if you get shortlisted or not for the assessment. Below is a submission status ''dictionary'', so you know what each status mean:

  • Application Received – You’ve submitted your application and it has passed the initial ATS screening.  It will now be shortlisted for review.
  • Completed – Nothing else is going to happen to your application.  You have not been successful on this occasion.  In the past, this status sometimes showed when the applicant had been invited to attend an Open Day.

  • Application Under Review – Your application is being reviewed by the recruitment team.  A recruiter will evaluate your resume, skills, photos and consider other factors to decide if your application should be progressed.

  • Application in Progress – As above.

  • Interview Complete – The recruitment team has simply marked on your file that you have been interviewed for the position.  There is no indication of when a final decision will be made but this status denotes that your file is open and the recruiter is actively considering you for the role.

  • Application Unsuccessful – Unfortunately, you haven’t been successful on this occasion.  This status normally triggers an automatically generated email to inform you of the recruitment teams decision.

  • Approval in Progress – Congratulations!  You’ve been conditionally offered the job.  This status means that the company now has to approve all of your paperwork and medical information.

  • Joining Formalities in Progress – You’ve pretty much got the job!  Now the onboarding process starts.

  1. Hey
Do our high school certificate have to be in English? Thanks

    1. They don't mention anything about that anywhere during the application process. I would attach the documents as they are, then if they ask for a translation then do the translation.
      GOOD LUCK :-)

  2. First of all I would like to thank you very much for the info you share on your blog, It is been very helpful for me.
I applied to Emirates yesterday but i could not submit my application, do you know what i should do? Did you get this kind of issues too? So stressful /Samira

    1. Samira thank you for your kind words :-) appreciate it! I am sorry that you are having issues with your EK application. I have heard a lot about people having tons of issues with their EK application/video. But personally i dont know how those issues would be resolved. But i do know those that had issues with the video interview have been contacting Hirevues customer service:

Hirevue is the system EK using to do the video interview. I dont know if this would be helpful for you or not, but check the link and see if there is any useful info there. I hope you get the chance to resolve your application issue!!! GOOD LUCK

  3. Hi dear, I have a question: I really like to apply for Emirates Airline, but I'm afraid they don't accepting me because I am from Iran. Do you know somebody to work there and be Iranian? Do you think for me any chance? Plaese let me know that. Thanks

    1. Hi Rosita
I got your message, and i replied back in regards to this question of yours.
If you did not get my email let me know.
      Have a great day

  4. Thanks for sharing and helpful to my sister to face the interview

  5. I will be 21 years old in 8 months, can i apply to Emirates or do i have to wait until the day i turn 21?

    1. Hello there :-)
It takes approx 2-3 months to join Emirates, after final interview. You don't have to wait until the day you turn 21, you can attend 1-3 months before you turn 21. Good luck and have a great Sunday//// :-)

  6. Hey~
Just a quick question> I've seen that you have to be at least 21 years at time of joining... but I've seen nowhere it states maximum age in which you can apply. Is there one? Asking for someone in her early 30s.. Me =)

    1. Hello
Sorry for my late reply :-)
In regards to EKs max age, they of course prefer to hire people under the age of 30. BUTTT they do hire people from 30-33 as well. But after 33+ i think it will be more difficult to score the job. In year 2018, i have not heard of anyone being hired being 35+. But i know someone who was 32 that was hired this year. But 100% you should continue to try your luck because we never know!
      Good luck :-)

  7. I am 24 years old. I am from Morocco. I Have a BA in English studies. I want to know all the procuderes of how to apply for this job offer.
    Thanks you

    1. Hello
Check their cabin crew career site:

Check if they come to a city near you for a cabin crew open day and try your luck!
      Good luck

  8. First of all let me tell you that whatever information you provide us is very helpful, it feels like anybody can crack the interview. So, my question is , do you have any idea that when Emirates is going start recruiting in Delhi?

    1. Thank you and i am happy you find this info, informative!

As for recruitment events in India.
I read online in regards to why EK is not hiring certain nationalities at the moment and i will copy and paste what was was written about this::::::::::::::::::

''''Emirates have this quota per nationality and certain nationalities have currently reached the target'''

This applied to few nationalities such as Filipinos or Indian. In Emirates they try to hire different kind of nationalities and they fill those up when that certain group resign. I heard that for example Filipinos or Indian crew rarely leave the company then the company dont need to fill up that quota. Compared for example to British crew that leave the company every day and then they need to fill that quota for British crew. That is why we see so many events in UK for example compared to other countries.

But this is one explanation, i assume there are more.
For now i advice these nationalities to try with Qatar Airways as they hire Indians and Filipinos!

      Have a great day

  9. Is Emirates recruiting any time soon in Morocco ?

    1. Hi
You have to check their recruitment schedule and check it often:

      Good luck :-)

  10. Hi CabinCrewDreamer

Hope you are well.Compliments of the season.

I have a question about the online application. I applied for very first time applied for Emirates in February 2018. 1st email is about thanking you for submitting your Cabin Crew application and 2nd email should be about that you completed the video interview. I received all that. Then in June 2018 I received the Application Unsuccessful – Unfortunately, you haven’t been successful on this occasion. This status normally triggers an automatically generated email to inform you of the recruitment teams decision.

Now I applied today again for the same position but when it came to the Job Specific Questions I didn't see the next box which says Digital Interview it just took me to straight to Declaration and Review and Submit box and that was it.

Was I suppose to do the video interview again or do they keep the old video interview from when you first applied? Because I am bit worried?

    Please help! :(

    Warm Regards,
