  5. What is dating like when you're a cabin crew, considering you're in air half the time ! Did you find it difficult to make time to see people ?

    1. hi dear
whenever u have days off u go out to clubs or wherever that may be....u always find people to mingle with....its so easy to date and have relationships even if ur flying......yeah u fly a lot but on days off u have time for other activities/interests too....
yeah its difficult to date while flying a lot...but if people LOVE each other very much and priority each other...they will always find time for each other...even if hectic schedule as the crew...so its doable :-)
      MERRY CHRISTMAS TO U DEAR
      HAVE A LOVELY DAY

  6. What's your average flying hours? Has salary ever been raised? Can you give a recent salary figure of a good/bad month? How many requested flights you get per month? How many turnarounds you do per month on average? I've been flying with Qatar, considering to switch to Etihad, just really fed up with Doha life, need a fresh start. Thanks for the info! It's been pretty helpful! :)

    1. Hello dear
      Hope you are well
as for the questions u have....the average flying hours with etihad it varies a lot...it can be anything from 45min to 14,5 hours..during the year i worked with etihad, we got a bonus...because the company had a good year so they added extra for us too..but beside of the salary....the salaries only raises when we get promotion...like working in economy to business to first class to becoming cabin senior or cm ect ect....i only worked with etihad 1 year so i dont know if every year they raise the salaries or not....
i would get at least 1 requested flight per month....from what i remember....this was year 2011 and 2012....i dont know how things are today 2015....
as for turnaround flights...it also varies a lot....some months i would get 0 turnaround flights....some months i would get 3-4....there is no typical roster really....or typical months ect....as each month for me was very different from every months....which was positive in the sense that we all would get different rosters...and not the same every month.....
but i would say that with those who were arabic speakers they would get tons of turnarounds every month.....
Anyhow i wish u all the best dear on ur journey to etihad...i hope u succeed in getting etihad...good luck
      have a lovely day

the competition is very hard yes, but it doesnt mean its impossible...

for me it took a bit longer to get this job...3 years heheheehhe
but i think its about luck as well... :-)
100% we should try and apply and see how it goes though...

  8. Hello,

Just wondering how soon do they start giving newbies long haul flights?

    1. Hi
it doesnt matter in etihad, if you are senior or new joiner everyone get the same rosters...regardless layover or turnaround...so a new joiner can get long haul flights as soon he/she starts to fly :-)
      have a lovely day
      :-)

  9. Hi! Do you know if QR crew have to be at the hotel 12hrs before duty too? If that’s the case then their roster doesn’t seem to allow much time for sight-seeing.

    1. Hi
Sorry for my late reply :-)
I have heard that they do have some rules/regulations in regards they have to be at the hotel xxx amount of hours before the flight. But no one is doing this though, as no one seem to check. I met a friend who works at QR during one of her layovers, and she and i were spending time in the city almost all the way until her pickup. So i dont think people is following this much. But 100% QR crew have time to sightsee during their layovers :-)
      Have a great day
      xoxo
